When Dan's sister, Emily, returned home from school this afternoon, she found a note on her desk. Dan had typed it on the computer and printed it out and left it for her to find (no one helped him):
This was Emily's first time voting. Dan's note wasn't enough to talk her out of voting for Hillary Clinton.

I don't have to agree with your choice to love that you voted, Dan. :o) Way to be a good citizen of the USA!
Like RK, I love that you voted, Dan. Makes me proud to see you doing your part!
I also love that you reminded your sister to vote, you are a good big brother!
Dan,
You rock!! :) Great job voting today... keep up the good work and keep getting the word out about Obama!
Your biggest fan,
Tracy :)
Dan is my rockstar!!
Go Obama!
I'm curious if Dan ran into any problems when he registered to vote. Are there any rules about the developmentally disabled voting? It seems that dishonest politicians could register severely mentally handicapped folks and somehow use that to their advantage, much like how you see the dead "voting" in elections. Just curious about the topic.
Good on Dan for exercising his right to vote!
I'm glad you voted for Obama! I voted for him as well. I hope he is our nominee. Hope to see more vids soon!
In reference to Deanna's comment, by law Dan should not have run into any problems registering to vote. This is HIS right by the constitution. Only convicted felons serving a sentence in some states cannot vote. Competency tests as well as poll taxes and literacy tests were outlawed under the 14th and 15th amendments. This was a major form of discrimination primarily used in the South to prevent blacks and other minorities from voting used decades ago. For politicians to target severly dev. handicapped would be too much work. It is easier for politicians to work the elderly. Dan is clearly more in touch with politics than many people that I know. In the last Presidential election it was estimated that only 30% of Americans vote. Sure, we hear people saying that they voted. But many people lie! Such as during the "Rock the Vote" movement four years ago, when several celebrities were on the band wagon telling everyone the importance of voting and then it was proven that most of the celebrities were not even registered to vote. Go Dan!!!!
GO DAN!

Way to go Dan on voting!!!!!
I just love your site, Dan! Thanks for doing your part to encourage everyone else to vote.
Love it. Lili is looking forward to voting; in fact we were just reprimanded by Lili's great-grandma for not letting her vote for Obama. ;)
Go Dan! We have this in common too. Go OBAMA!
I'm so glad you tried one last time to talk some sense into Emily. ; -)
Dan you Rock!
I bet Senator Barack Obama would love to have you volunteer. Your second cousin Sam got to meet him at the rally in Wynnewood and is now volunteering after school.
Now we just one of our relatives (Will?) to get married so we can get to see you dance soon.
Your cousin,
francie
